The Victorian Government’s $77 million BushBank Program is addressing climate change and supporting wildlife as it restores more than 20,000 hectares of land across Victoria.

The BushBank Private Land Stream, delivered by Cassinia Environmental, reached a major progress point in 2025. Three years into the program, we crossed the halfway mark of the target hectares with our largest revegetation season to date.

We are pleased to now share the BushBank Annual Report for 2025 highlighting key achievements, good news stories and upcoming projects for the year ahead.

Here’s a snapshot of we’ve achieved so far:

  • 78 BushBank sites in progress across Victoria
  • 4,827 ha restored to date, through planting, seeding or management changes
  • 11,874 ha secured for restoration (that’s 59% of our target!)
  • 996 ha protected by a Trust for Nature conservation covenant
  • $13.6m in co-funding secured, including from 8 organisations and 13 landowners
  • 19 signed landowner agreements
  • 11 delivery partners actively engaged
  • 23% of seed/seedling contracts value awarded to First People suppliers

Other highlights from 2025 included the Budj Bim Koala Habitat Creation Project, registering our first Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) project and protecting a known total 99 endangered species and ecological communities through our BushBank projects.
