Watchbox Valley (Sievers)

The Watchbox Valley project uses a three-pronged approach to rehabilitate and protect the 445ha property grazing property. Remnant vegetation is being protected, threatened species habitat is maintained, and degraded areas are being revegetated. Land covenants have been placed over those areas of the property which still have good quality remnant vegetation, including vast native grasslands which provide habitat for the critically endangered Golden Sun Moth. Many areas of the site have become too damaged by long-term grazing to naturally rejuvenate; revegetation works have been and are underway to ensure these plots are successfully rehabilitated.
