Our Mt Sandy property is a 200 ha block of pristine remnant vegetation located in the heart of the Coorong, South Australia. The project involves multiple parties, coming together to deliver a first-of-its-kind biodiversity initiative. The Mt Sandy project is the very first accredited Significant Environmental Benefit site in the state. Managed by the Ruakkan Community Council, the project seeks to incorporate local traditional land management practices and support Indigenous employment. Cassinia Environmental is also working with Odonata and South Pole Australia to deliver biodiversity and carbon benefits. Below is a video compiled by South Pole which introduces Mt Sandy as an EcoAustralia site, helping to deliver biodiversity protection in conjunction with carbon credits.
